Anointing of the sick
Mark refers to the sacrament when he recounts how Jesus sent out the twelve disciples to preach, and "they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them" (Mark 6:13). In his epistle, James says, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"
The priests at St. Frances of Rome are on call Monday through Sunday and are at the request of the faithful who desire to be anointed with the Oil of the sick.
Due to the urgency of this type of request, you are asked to call the Parish Office directly.
If you are calling after hours, please leave a message on the emegency voicemail and someone will return your call as soon as posable.
If it is not an emergent situation, please fill out the on line request and a priest will be assigned to your request the next business day.
